Almost every aspect of our modern lives relies on minerals or mineral products, such as base metals, precious metals, coking coal, iron sands, aggregates, limestone and industrial minerals. These are all vital elements used for building and construction, vehicle manufacture and fuel, computers and other electronics, communications, healthcare and dentistry, food production, and energy production and transmission.
As well as supplying the world with the minerals modern society needs, mining creates jobs and is a direct contributor to our economic prosperity. Mining is economically important to both developed and developing regions and countries. It provides employment, dividends, and taxes that pay for hospitals, schools, and public facilities.
The mining industry produces a trained workforce and small businesses that can service communities and may initiate related businesses. Mining also yields foreign exchange and accounts for a significant portion of a country's gross domestic product. As part of our ethos, we also seek out used mining sites and re-explore them using new technology in order to ascertain whether these mines are still able to yield further raw material. This allows us to maximise every mining site available, without the high cost of an initial excavation.
Part of the profits made from the exploration of these disused mining sites are given back to the environment in terms of efforts to conserve the environment, e.g. building parks, reservoirs, or simply planting trees on old mining sites that have been exhausted of their yield.
We understand the social and environmental impact of mining, and the need for continuous sustainability. We also ensure cost efficiency. We respect the land we use, and the resources that come with it.
While we acknowledge that it is often necessary to receive from the land, we also seek to give back to the land, to ensure its perpetual sustainability for future generations, as well as the preservation of nature and the environment.
When you invest in ROKKS Resources, you will be allocated a number of shares. All allocated shares are equally divided portions of the fund’s value. You will receive regular payments (dividends) from the fund, based on the profit or income we receive from our mining projects and investments.
